Martin Truex Jr. Foundation- Helping Children in Need is thrilled to announce that we raised over $150,000 at the First Annual Golf Tournament and Fan Appreciation Dinner. Martin also made a generous personal donation of $50,000 making the event’s very successful grand total over $200,000.
It was a wonderful week in New Jersey, with the BPS #1 show car in attendance and Martin Truex Jr. products for sale at the Tuckerton Seaport and Sea Watch International. The weather was ideal for golf the day of the tournament and it was finished off with an awards ceremony with a delicious seafood buffet.
That evening over 300 guests arrived for a formal dinner and a thrilling silent auction. Those who attended received a one of a kind event T-Shirt and a bag full of goodies. Throughout the evening, Martin visited each table signing autographs and posing for photos with his fans.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of checks from the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation to the different recipients. These included 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center, Ocean of Love and the Head Start Child Development Program along with over 1000 pajamas to the New Jersey Chapter of the Pajama Project!
Martin would like to thank everyone who helped make this event such a success and allow the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation to have a positive impact on the lives of children in need.
