Toyota Racing Experience Opening MTJF/SherryStrong Store at Select Races
The 2019 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series (MENCS) preseason media blitz isn’t exclusive to drivers. Sherry Pollex took a turn and stepped onto the set of Toyota Racing’s annual production day at their invitation.
Toyota’s midway presence at NASCAR tracks known as the Toyota Racing Experience (formally Toyota Pit Pass) has always included Sherry and her longtime partner MENCS champion Martin Truex Jr. But this season, Toyota and Sherry hope to make an even bigger impact with their collaboration at the popular fan attraction. Videos and photos captured during production will be displayed throughout the Toyota Racing Experience to raise awareness and boost advocacy for childhood and ovarian cancer.
Back by popular demand, Toyota will continue to sell select MTJF and SherryStrong merchandise to benefit the MTJ Foundation. However, this season Toyota is making an even bigger contribution by opening an MTJF/SherryStrong pop-up shop in the Toyota Outfitters Boutique at select races. Fans will not only have access to more merchandise, but also treated to appearances by Pollex to empower men and women facing adversities caused by cancer.
“Toyota has been a wonderful partner to the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation (MTJF) and SherryStrong since Martin established a relationship with them in 2010,” said Pollex, vice president of the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation and founder of SherryStrong. “They’ve always been supportive of our events like Catwalk for a Cause, but since my cancer diagnosis in 2014, they have given me an incredible platform to help raise awareness and funding for both childhood and ovarian cancer. A 20-minute visit to the Experience to greet fans is important to me. It allows me to share my story and encourage and bring hope to others that are fighting too”
