MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 30, 2019) — The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation is proud to announce Well Fargo Advisors as the presenting sponsor for the 10th Anniversary of Catwalk for a Cause, the signature event geared towards raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer.
“We are very proud to be the presenting sponsor for a worthy cause and support Martin and Sherry and their good works.” Neil McPeak, Managing Director – Investments, McPeak Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.
This year’s Catwalk for a Cause is showcasing a “Fight Night” theme in an airplane hanger at Statesville Regional Airport in Statesville, N.C., on May 15th. The highlight of the evening is a fashion show featuring Catwalk Heroes, children who are in treatment or remission from cancer, strutting the runway with NASCAR’s drivers and their spouses.
The star-studded evening includes a cocktail hour featuring musical entertainment, silent and live auctions, a fashion show and concert. Country music singer and songwriters Adam Sanders and Taylor Phillips will be opening this year’s After-Party concert for 2016 CMA New Artist of the Year winner Cole Swindell.
Truex, the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion driver, and his long-time partner Sherry Pollex said in a joint statement, “We are proud to have the support of Wells Fargo Advisors as this year’s presenting sponsor of Catwalk for a Cause. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come — from a fashion show with over 75 people in attendance to now a marquee event where over 600 patrons return year after year with the hopes of putting an end to this terribly underfunded disease. With Wells Fargo Advisors’ help along with our other wonderful partners and patrons, we intend to surpass last year’s $650,000 in fundraising efforts.”
Fox Sports personality Shannon Spake will emcee this year’s event.
